Dave Hamar takes a forensic look at the ‘take of the tape’ after a compelling 10 qualifying rounds as we go into an electrifying finale where the race for the Silver Roof will be decided!
The final round at Belle Vue on Sunday 12th November will be for DOUBLE points!
This means that the heats will score 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 and 2.
The consolation scores 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2.
The final will score 40, 36, 32, 28, 24, 20, 16, 12, 8, 4.
The GN scores 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 with the final winner (from the lap handicap) scoring double.
So the championship very much is ‘in play’ As an example, If Dave Polley can win the final and Gordon Moodie fails to place in the top 10, 40 of his 44 point lead disappears !
Moodie is on a supercharge as pride matters to the dedicated Fife racer, but, as all when they are at the top of their game, someone wants to disrupt the party and this is stock car racing and every lap will matter in this final twist in the tail.
Polley equally wants that title as does Kelvyn and this provides an intriguing and compelling finale to this inaugural series.
Adding spice is the entry of Gordon;s ‘nemesis’, Scotland’s Robbie Dawson and their arch rivalry is well renowned and the possibility of Rob Speak being on track after booking in last week for the F2 finale.
It all adds up to an event not to be missed!
