Lest we Forget Sunday 8th November. BriSCA & Startrax remembers

It has been a proud Startrax tradition to complete our season on Remembrance Sunday and in recent years with the support of Commander David Crosby and family, our sport has been able to stand proud and together to Remember those who lost their lives for us and those closer within our sport.

Sadly, 2020 has been a tragic year and, we were due to be together at King’s Lynn to enjoy our sport and offer Remembrance on this final day of the season. Regrettably the worsening situation in the country with rising infection rates have made this not possible.

For us at Startrax it is particularly emotional, it was 12 months ago we gathered at Belle Vue for the last ever time not knowing whether this iconic stadium would survive. Only days earlier we said goodbye to Stoke. The year had seen so much other sadness and of course 12 months ago we lost a great friend in Mr Colin North on a drizzly night at Birmingham Wheels - a tragedy and night I cannot expunge from my memories and we should learn from it.
We are a proud family, 2021 holds considerable opportunity and hope.

Please, reflect for a period on the words from Commander Crosby, remember and care for each other over the months ahead until we meet again in the sunshine
